What is it about the date February 29th that makes crazy fun loving people like Jodi and Nige determined to get married on a Sunshine Coast Beach no matter whether it rains, pours or even blows a gale? Well you'd have to be from Melbourne, for a start. It was truly one of the most fun weddings I have ever been to,the pictures tell it all!!!! A marriage based on love such as Jodi and Nige's is set for life, just keep up that great attitude guys!
Whilst the guys chilled out over a game of pool at Andrew's grandparent's house in Buderim, all manner of magic was transforming the girls at M1 in Maroochydore. Yani, looking exceptionally handsome , was in awe of how stunning his beautiful Mum Shannon looked and of the impending limo ride...... it was an amazingly cool wedding at Clio's Palmwoods. Congratulations Andrew and Shannon!
On Australia day I headed out to Kingaroy with Marayke who is one of the QLD Government Ambassadors sent to speak in rural areas. We enjoyed dinner with the mayor, formal festivities in town, then lunch at the Carrollee Hotel with family and friends, including Jimmy from Nanango who at 95 is still full of beans and thoroughly enjoyed his day with us. After lunch we were treated to a tour of the Kingaroy Art Gallery and Museum with our friendly hosts CEO John and his wife Lynette followed by an interesting first hand peanut farm experience. Lynette, a teacher, grew up on a farm neighbouring Bethany, the home of the Bjelke Petersons and she certainly educated us well on all sorts of aspects of rural life. Then we were loaded up with gifts of local produce including 5 kg of gourmet flavoured Kingaroy peanuts for the journey home. Delicious!
The glorious backdrop of Noosa Beach was perfect for the wedding of Laura and Dave on the 17th of November . Wow, how stunning did the bridal party look! A riverboat cruise up the Noosa River to Ricki's where the reception was held was so relaxing. The romantic candlelit atmosphere was splendid as family and friends wined and dined with the newly weds. The moment was captured forever on canvas with everyone adding their little artistic touch . To complete the perfect story Laura and Dave set off for Hong Kong and Thailand for their honeymoon.
David and Heather had their photos taken together on their wedding anniversary . Here is the rest of the family too - Jimmy, Ben, Kylie and Dylan.
And what a buzz it was when over the phone this evening I talked David through how to access this blog on the computer and I knew we had succeeded when at last I heard Heather's delighted sighs on the other end of the phone as she saw her family's photos appear on the screen - what a clever husband !!!!
